Patricia named her farm Meteor Ridge because a meteor fell in her front yard. This meteor is now a headston in the family gaveyard.

Patricia is a a well-known author of many children's books. Patricial was born in Lansing, Michigan in the year 1944. While growing up she called her grandmother Babushka. Because of a learning disability called dyslexia, she did not learn to read until the age of 14. Patricia has two grown children, Steven and Traci. She began writing children's books at the age of 41. She gets her ideas from her imagination because she did not have a television as a child. Patricia continues to entertain children of all ages with her wonderful stories.
